A. If your loved one has seen some of my videos and you've discussed starting coaching, you're all set. You can move on the next question.
B. If your loved one has not seen any of my videos, I strongly recommend asking them to check out a couple before moving forward. Even if they’ve already agreed to coaching, this step is important. It will help them get a feel for my coaching style and approach, which expedites the trust building process and overall recovery process. Plus, their willingness to watch a couple of vidoes is a good indicator that they will engage in the program.
A little advice on how to approach the topic:
1. Select a couple of videos: It works best if you select the videos because you know them best. Be sure to pick something they'll relate. If you can't think of any, here are a couple of options:
From Addiction to Abundance
Defeat Addiction with These Powerful Habits
Get Sober without Going To 12-Step Meetings
If You're Struggling To Stay Sober- This May Be The Reason
2. Get their agreement: Say something like "hey, remember that recovery coach lady we were talking about? I thought you might like to watch a couple of her videos, before we set up any appointments, so you can decide if she's a good fit for you. Is it okay if I send you the links?
3. Send them the links. (Don't make them search for them.)
4. If they're open to recovery coaching, after watching a few videos, come back here and finish the application process.
⭐Taking this small step can make a big difference in setting the tone for their recovery journey and ensuring they feel confident and ready to dive into coaching.* It really does speed up the process!
