I would say with Campbell, I felt heard, and I felt like she really took in what I said, so she was able to give me some good advice on how to interact in a more healthy, supportive, and positive way with my loved one. I also left our conversation with more information about how addiction works, which I appreciate, because I do feel like every little tidbit of information I have helps me to understand this disease and maybe move things in a more positive direction.
Campbell was absolutely fabulous, providing concrete steps for the first part of our journey. As you all see day in and day out, addiction is a long standing journey that is unbelievably tough. It was comforting and enlightening to talk with someone who truly understands. We could not be more impressed by Amber and Campbell. We Believe God has been using your YouTube channel to show us how to navigate these turbulent water that has been our life for several years now. Campbell has a great approach to speaking with parents with an adult child who has a substance abuse problem. She answered questions and was able to give us suggestions of ways to help someone who may not even feel he needs help. She also explained important points about addiction and recovery that many may not know. I found her helpful!
Hope For Families is top notch! I am glad I found them when I did. I have followed their advice in trying to help my son, and he is making good progress. Just having others who truly understand what you are going through is nice. I highly recommend this place if you have a loved one who is struggling with addiction.
